Lone Star High
School Rodeo Association
Our
mission is to promote and encourage participation in the great sport of High
School Rodeo.
Lone Star High
School Rodeo Association (LSHSRA) is open to all High School students that are
currently attending school (grades 9th, 10th, 11th
or 12th) and under the age of 20.
We hope
you look us over (see website for rodeo dates & locations and
meetings’ info) and give us an opportunity to help facilitate your choice to RODEO.
You are
welcome to contact any of our Board Members or Association Secretaries with
questions.
Minimum
Requirements to join:
1) Attending an accredited public school,
private school or home school where grade verifications can be obtained.
2) LSHSRA enforces a “passing grade level”
which can be detailed by any Board Member or Association Secretary. School
conduct must be in good standing.
3) Contestant must not have received High
School Diploma before completing school year.
4) If married, be eligible to take part in
school activities and meet other criteria above.
5) Not be in LSHSRA for more than four (4)
years.
Term of Rodeo
Season: September through mid-April; FINALS in May.
Fees: Individual membership fees are currently
$65.00.
Team
membership fees are set by individual team.
Event Entry Fee: $35.00/timed events; $40.00/rough stock
Secretary Fee: $2.00 per rodeo
NOTE:
All LSHSRA members are required to sell raffle tickets.
General
Session meetings (open to all LSHSRA members) are held the first Monday of each
month during the season. Please check
the website for time and location. We
encourage our members and parents to attend and contribute toward the success of the Association.

celebrating thirty-five (35) years of rodeo this season. We stand by our founding purpose: “…to
further and develop the sport of high school rodeo”. We
